“The art piece, "The Crystal Helps to Understand the Morning," was created as a site-specific installation in reference to its nearby architecture and the surrounding landscape. The title is a quote taken from the essay by the French philosopher Gaston Bachelard: "Water and Dreams - An Essay on the Imagination of Matter."

When the artist previously visited The Arc Cultural Center, she was reminded of the concentric circles of waves in the architecture's style. She mirrored the concentric waves caused by a stone hitting a still water surface. Based on this impression, the artist developed the sketch for her site-specific modular sculpture. It consists of five metal vessels filled with water, color, and pigment. The vessels are embedded in black flower soil, in which plants grow over the course of the one-month installation.

With this ephemeral piece, the artist encourages viewers to promenade through this makeshift pond landscape and observe the reflections of the sun and clouds within it. This installation, brimming with poetic imagination, echoes the outlines of the Arc buildings when viewed from the air.”
